The five highest ranking players after the preliminaries play a final in Saturday. The winner of the final wins the tournament.

Diplomacy is one of the greatest strategy games in the world. The game emphasizes the diplomacy between players rather than actual combat - but the diplomacy can be very brutal too! You can learn more about the game in the talk called Introduction to Diplomacy in Friday.
The tournament consists of two rounds, which are scored by the C-Diplo system. The player with the most points wins the tournament. The tournament is arranged by Martiska Reinikka (kapuski@hotmail.com, 040-7249978).

Diplomacy is a 50 years old strategy game. Seven great powers of the World War I are fighting over the control of Europe, but unlike most of the military strategy games, the emphasis of the game is on the diplomacy between players rather than pure combat. Nothing is forbidden in the negotiations. Introduction to Diplomacy introduces deeper aspects of the game and strategies to win.

The tournament is organised by Stefan Engblom (sengblom@hotmail.com, 050-3413041), who also takes pre-enrollments. The owners of the game are also encouraged to loan their game for the tournament.
