Flea Market
The Vendor Hall will also have the traditional Flea Market where you can bring your games, books, larp props and other items related to the event for sale. It’s a great place to clean up your bookshelves and also make new interesting finds. The sellers bring their items to the Flea Market and our staff takes care of selling them, so you only need to pick up your earnings and leftover items at the end of the event.
The Flea Market opening times
Friday 15.00 – 21.00
Saturday 10.00 – 19.00
Sunday 10.00 – 16.00
Please bring cash with you – the Flea Market doesn’t take card payments!
Flea Market instructions for visitors
- Only cash is accepted at the Flea Market, and the items are priced in 0,50 € increments. Exact change whenever possible is recommended.
- Be considerate towards other visitors and do not enter with large props or luggage.
- Treat items with care – don’t open packages or move items between tables.
- Some items are sold in boxes in “everything in this box 1€ each” style. When buying items from a box, remember the box number and mention it at the cashier.
- Products marked with age limit 18+ are kept separately from other Flea Market items and are only for visitors of legal age. Be prepared to show your ID to confirm your age when requested.
- All cases of shoplifting will be informed to the authorities.
Selling at the Flea Market
The Flea Market is using the Kirppu system where the items are listed in advance and the system automatically creates price tags with barcodes for them. You sign up to Kirppu with your Kompassi credentials. The barcodes on the items are scanned when they are brought to the Flea Market, and again either when they’re sold or returned to the seller at the end of the event. You can bring and pick up your items at any time during the Flea Market opening times, and everything needs to be picked up by Sunday at 16:00. If you don’t want your items back, you can also leave them at the Flea Market. At 16:30 all leftover items are free to take for all convention visitors. Please bring some form of photo ID with you when picking up your earnings and items. Only people with a ticket to the event can become sellers, as you need to be able to enter the Vendor Hall.
Flea Market is not intended for professional selling or reselling: all items must be second-hand or otherwise unneeded items belonging to the sellers themselves. More instructions about listing your items and allowed item types can be found in Kirppu.
Listing items to Kirppu opens on 23.6. at 18 and closes on 21.7. or when we reach maximum capacity.
Ropecon takes a 5% provision on the sold items and it’s deducted from your earnings when you withdraw them. There’s no provision on unsold items.
Ropecon staff is not responsible for the items brought to the Flea Market, so please note that you’re bringing the items to sell at your own risk.
