History

This year's Ropecon is the twelfth ever organised. It will be held in the Dipoli congress center, Espoo for the eight time in a row. Originally the event was held in Paasitorni, Helsinki but this location became soon too small for the growing roleplaying convention.

The amount of people attending the convention has been growing year by year. The very first Ropecon gathered few hundreds of roleplayers and gamers together. In the year 2000 the amount of visitors broke the barrier of 3000. Last year over 3300 people attended the event. Visitors come to Ropecon from all around the country.
