Art Gallery

Art Gallery is open to all themes and techniques. However, to bring your work to the gallery for display you must register before the event to taide@ropecon.fi. When registering, include your name, the dimensions of the piece of art you wish to put on display and the techniques used in the work. If the amount of registrations and works of art grows too big for the area reserved for the Art Gallery, we may have to limit the amount of participants. To guarantee the safety of the displayed works, the Art Gallery will be closed during the night.

Besides just bringing your art for display there are also two competitions; work submitted to the contest before the Ropecon event, and pieces of art created during the event. You can participate in both categories.

If you wish to participate in the pre-con competition, send a registration e-mail at least two weeks before Ropecon to taide@ropecon.fi. The piece of art you wish to submit to the competition can be done whatever techniques you choose, and brought to Ropecon Art Gallery for display. The competition follows the following theme:

The submitted works are to be delivered to the Art Gallery and the competition July 22th, between 12:00 and 14:30 (before the event officially opens). A separate arrangement can also be made via e-mail.

The second competition will take place during the event. The theme for the competition will be announced during the event. Allowed techniques for the works in the competition are pencil, drawing coal (bring your own) or graphite (bring your own). The submitted works be be on display as well. The winner will be decided by an open vote by the event attendants.
