Maiju Tarpila is an artist, pedagogue, and PhD researcher working with larp. Currently she is doing artistic research at the University of Arts Helsinki, focusing on larp as a practice of living elsewise in the context of manifold (eco)crises. 

Tarpila is best known for her long form larp processes that center questions of community, meaningful life and the sacred. Tarpila’s work plays on the borders of ecological, ethical, pedagogical, and aesthetic questions that come together in our imagining and playing bodies.
