One ticket includes

One event ticket to Ropecon 2024 includes entrance to the venue and access to convention  programmes as long as there are seats or participant slots available. The ticket also includes sleeping bag accommodation at the venue (for 1-2 nights depending on the ticket type). 

Tickets for the Academic Seminar are sold separately. Fairy Godparent ticket does not allow access to the Academic Seminar. 

Some programmes may have a separate material fee, which will be collected separately. Please check the event website for details on signing up for programmes and on their specific costs.

Delivery of tickets

E-tickets will be sent to the email address provided by the customer. Take your ticket with you when coming to the event. The ticket will be exchanged for a wristband that gives access to the event for as long as the ticket is valid. The wristband must be worn for the duration of the ticket validity. A lost wristband will not be replaced. If a wristband is broken, the ticket sales booth or at night, the event info, can replace it in exchange for the broken wristband. The person ordering the ticket does not need to be the same person as the one using them.

Ticket payments

Tickets must be paid on purchase and processed successfully through Paytrail. Payment must be made using Finnish online banking, credit card (Visa/Matercard/American Express) or MobilePay. If possible, we kindly recommend customers use online banking. 

Tickets can also be purchased at the entrance of the venue. Accepted forms of payment at the venue are cash or card (debit or credit). We are investigating the possibility of paying with cultural benefits, such ass Epassi and Smartum, and will inform about our solution as soon as we find it.

Ticket Types 

Admission is free for attendees under the age of 7 or over the age of 65. Accompanying caretakers or assistants and interpreters are granted free access accompanying an attendee. 

Weekend ticket grants access to the event for the whole weekend.

One Day ticket grants access to the event on a specific day. A One Day Ticket can be upgraded to a weekend ticket after purchase.

Children’s ticket grants access to the event for a child between the ages of 7-12 when accompanied by a paying adult. According to tradition, a person aged 13 or above is considered an independent and active participant of the event and will be sold a full-priced ticket. 

Family Ticket Package contains tickets for 2 adults and 1-3 children (ages 7-12). Tickets include full weekend access. Family Ticket Package has the same terms and conditions as individual tickets. 

Fairy Godparent ticket donates a weekend ticket to an applicant. Fairy Godparent tickets can be bought or applied for until June 30th 2024. 

Early Dragon -tickets are for sale until June 30th 2024. Tickets purchased after this will cost the same as at the event venue door. 

One Day tickets and full-priced weekend tickets are available from July 1st 2024 and are on sale at the entrance to the event venue after the event begins.

Exchanging pre-purchased tickets

Pre-purchased tickets can be exchanged into wristbands from separately specified areas before the event begins. As tickets are exchanged, the customer is responsible for all wristbands they have received. Lost tickets and wristbands will not be replaced. If a wristband is broken, the ticket sales booth or at night, the event info, can replace it in exchange for the broken wrist band. Same terms apply for the Family Ticket Packet.

Exchange and Cancellation Policy for Ticket Purchases

A ticket can be exchanged or cancelled for 14 days after purchase. Within the allotted time, all exchanged or canceled tickets will be reimbursed via the payment method used. All ticket sales are final one week (7 days) before the event. To exchange or cancel a ticket, please contact lipunmyynti(at)ropecon.fi. The original ticket barcode will be voided and cannot be used. After the allotted cancellation time all sales are final.

Event Cancellation

In case of full event cancellation, tickets can be reimbursed. For reimbursements, contact lipunmyynti(at)ropecon.fi.

Payment Service Provider

Paytrail Plc (2122839-7) is a collecting payment service provider and an authorized Payment Institution working in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Oyj will forward the payment to the merchant. For complaints, please contact the website the payment was made to.
