Situations Requiring a Separate Permission

Updated March 13, 2026

This document describes some common situations, where the terms of contract require the exhibitor to obtain a separate permission from the organizer. The exhibitor must always ask for such permission explicitly. We do not guarantee that the answer we give in a specific situation follows the general guidelines described here.

Food and beverages

NoHo Partners Oyj has the exclusive right to operate restaurants and cafes at the venue. Food and beverages may not be prepared, sold, or served to the public without a permission from them. Permissions are more likely available free of charge, when the activities do not compete with them and the products are related to the theme of the event.

The exhibitor must also ensure that they have any applicable official permits when preparing, selling, and or serving food and beverages.

Covered stands

All covered stands must have a smoke detector. Small tents, canopies, and other coverings not exceeding 10 square meters are usually allowed without any special arrangements, if there are no specific fire hazards. When asking for permission to cover a stand, please attach a picture of the stand at another event, if available.

Electrical safety

The exhibitor may connect their own extension cords to the sockets provided by the event. The extension cords must be in good condition, and they must not be longer than necessary.

Daisy chaining of extension cords is forbidden. In exceptional cases, we may allow daisy chaining with a separate permission. The exhibitor must ask for permission during the Thursday building hours, to give us time for the necessary measurements.

Open fire

The use of open fire, including candles, requires a separate permission. The exhibitor should ask for permission by early May at the latest, as we will likely have to take it into account in our safety plans.
